Through her suffering,

she’ll forge a tempered Peace – Immoveable and Hers, in equal measure.

Then, tethered to the strength of Mars

march,

march she will

into the Blackened, Sweet Bliss

at the centre of her being

And there,

there

in the beauty of such breath-stealing chaos,

there she will build a universe.

how is it possible

that 29 and one half years

have gone?

This vague sense of passing seems at once

forever,

forever and a moment mere.

I await  you, silent sunrise, albeit with reluctance

for you steal away my dreams

strip away my dark blankets of sleep and

cava.

the frida in me

may my paint, one day, set me free.

acrylic  – 60cm x 80cm

Bound am I by my ability to paint and yet, paint I must, in pursuit of that something

something

so satisfying and necessary and grand. May the spookey

and the lovey never separate

and

forever be forged as

a whole, belonging together on one single face.

To Thiebaud, to Kahlo, to Imre, that a higlight in any coulour may still be a higlight

as long as the value sees parallel.
